Younger Toddlers:
(Must be 2 years old by Sept.) | 9-month, 2-hour Program
8:30 to 10:30 or 11:00 to 1:00 on MWF or TTH
This is a 2-hour introduction class to Bal Swan for younger 2-year-olds as of September 02, 2008. This class works on basic routines, social interaction, the beginnings of cognitive development, motor, language and self-help skills. |
Older Toddlers:
(Must be 2 and a half years old by Sept. ) | 9-month, Half-Day Program
8:30 to 11:30 on MWF or TTH
This is a 3-hour class for the older 2s and younger 3s.
It occurs at the same time as our preschool program so families with both toddlers and preschoolers can have their children in school at the same time. This class continues work on routines, social interaction, gross and fine motor, language, self help and cognitive development. |
3 and 4-year-olds:
(Children must be 3 and a half years old by Sept.) | 9- or 12-month, Half-Day Preschool Programs
8:30 to 11:30 on MWF or TTH
12:30 to 3:30 on MWF or TTH, or Monday – Thursday (PM only).
These programs can be enrolled in for 9 or 12 months. The 9-month programs end in May and the 12 month programs end in August . Each
program begins in September.
12-month, Full-Day Preschool Programs
(There are no 9-month options)
8:00 to 3:30 on MWF, TTH, or M-F.
The Full-Day classes will have a rest period and the children will need to bring a sack lunch. The morning will be the core preschool program and the extra time in the afternoon will be a continuation of all the wonderful activities and lessons.
The children in this classroom will have more time to master skills and work on projects. It will be fun!
All 3- and 4-year-old programs are two-year programs. Your 3-year-old will be able to continue with their same class, teacher and friends for two years. The first year your 3 year old will benefit from watching and playing with the 4 year olds and your 3 year old will achieve greater success by following the older students lead. The second year in the program is just as important as the first. Your 3 year old is now 4 and gets to be the leader in the classroom to all the new 3 year olds, while still being challenged cognitively by our wonderful teachers. |
Older 4s, Yourger 5s & Kindergarten Enrichment
(Must be at least 4 years and 9 months by Sept) | 9-month, Half-Day program - 8:00 to 11:30 or 12:30 to 3:30 MWF only
9 -month, Full-Day program - 8:00 to 3:30 TTH only
This is a preschool program for children that just missed the Kindergarten cutoff for the school system. This class is for the older 4s as of Sept. 2, 2008 who have already had a few years in preschool classes. This class will focus on Kindergarten skills (not pre-kindergarten) and will ensure that your child continues to grow at their developmental pace.
The Kindergarten Enrichment program aspect is for families who want an additional dose of Kindergarten skills. It is a continuation of the Kindergarten program at your school. We focus on Kindergarten and elementary skills. These older 4s and Kindergarteners will work together to learn about the world around them. |
| Toddler 3 & 4 Summer Program | This year our summer classes are 5-week programs and will have all the fun theme and adventures you have come to love at Bal Swan. The themes will be as unique as the teachers who teach them. The programs will be designed after we collect enrollment numbers and the information will be distributed before the Summer programs start. Below is a current list of Summer programs available. If you have other ideas, please share them with the front office.
Older Toddler (2.5 in June): TTH or MWF - 8:30 to 11:30
3s & 4s (3.0 to 4.75 in June): TTH or MWF - 8:30 to 11:30 or 12:30 to 3:30
3s & 4s (3.5 to 5.0 in June): TTH, MWF, or M-F – 8:00 to 3:30
Awesome Afternoons: TTH, MWF, or M-F – 3:30 to 4:30
(must be at least 3 years old) |
| Awesome Afternoons | Enrollment Only and must be 3 and older: 3:30 to 4:30: This program helps the family that needs a little more time before they pick up their children.
Sept – May |
| Lunch Bunch | Enrollment Only and must be 3 and Older: 11:30 to 12:30 – This is our popular lunch program where parents pack their children’s lunches. During this time, the children socialize about the wonders of the world with their friends and our excellent staff. Families will need to enroll in this program just like the main Bal Swan programs. Please remember we are a NO NUT school. If children bring nut products into the school they will not be able to eat them. We will provide the child in this situation an alternative lunch. Thanks for helping us be a safe environment for our children. We also have a hot lunch program that busy families can participate in. Please see the front desk for enrollment information.
